EPA conducting audit at Montevallo Elementary School
MONTEVALLO, AL (WBRC)- For the second day officials with the EPA are at Montevallo Elementary School.
The EPA is conducting an audit of how well the school is following asbestos standards.
The school has been tackling mold concerns for a couple of months now but school system officials stress the audit has nothing to do with the mold problem. They say this is a standard audit conducted every three years at schools that once contained asbestos.
The audit results could be known in as little as a few days or a few weeks.
