Calera High School marching band visits Washington, D.C.

The Calera High School band is in Washington, D.C. to perform at today's inauguration parade.

The band was selected from more than 2,800 schools around the country which submitted applications. Only one from each state was selected.

Students were able to pay for the trip through fundraising and donations. The band left on Friday, Jan. 18 and took a 12-hour bus ride to the nation's capital.
